AHRC-funded Alice in Wonderland and Dress Research Project

Addressing Alice: The Emergence of a Style Icon, 1865-1900

This project explores Lewis Carroll's iconic character in relation to fashion and dress. It traces the different ways Alice was dressed in the nineteenth century, and the process of dressing like her. These pages outline the project and the project team and will present in full the extensive research materials gathered in the form of spreadsheets and slides. There is also information about project events and activities including workshops, seminars, conferences and next year's exhibition at the V&A Museum of Childhood.
